What a better way to try and start blogging again then by starting with the new Mr. and Mrs. Kualii in HAWAII!!

Many of you know Megan from either shooting your wedding or your family. She’s the peanut butter to my jelly, the yin to my yang and the apple of my photography eye. Our 27 year friendship has endured because she’s a saint and understands me so well haha. And now that’s translated so wonderfully to working together!

When she and James got engaged I knew they would have a smaller wedding – that’s just who these two are. They’re not showy or extravagant or anything like that. But I was shocked and thrilled when they decided to elope while in Hawaii for vacation and even more thrilled when Megan bought me a plane ticket out too!!

Not going to lie, I was pretty nervous haha I wanted it to be everything Megan had dreamed of but you can’t go wrong in Hawaii. They said their vows in a small orchard surrounded by their kids (Megan’s biggest boo hoo moment came when she was reading a special note to James’ son and daughter). The whole thing was touching and intimate and beautiful. And Megan and James, I was so so honored to be there with you both.

If anyone is wanting to elope to Hawaii – just buy my plane ticket and hotel for a couple nights and I’m there!! (there’s my not so shameless plug lol)
